Bringing hope, nourishment, and dignity to older adults all year long

For forty years, Serving Seniors: Holiday of Hope has brought together nearly 500 underserved seniors each Christmas from San Antonio’s South Side for a day of celebration, fellowship, and love.

Each December, we gather to share a warm Christmas meal, play bingo, enjoy festive entertainment, and ensure that every senior receives a thoughtful gift bag filled with essentials and comfort items— a moment to feel seen, loved, and part of a caring community.

Mr. Ibarra, a cherished participant in our Serving Seniors program, spent one of his final days surrounded by joy, laughter, and love at last year’s Holiday of Hope celebration. His story reminds us that your generosity creates lasting moments of dignity and connection.

Year Round Impact

But our care doesn’t stop at Christmas.

Through our Serving Seniors program, we provide compassionate support year-round, extending Christ’s healing ministry to those facing hardship and isolation. Our senior services include:

  • Bi-monthly food distributions to ease hunger and stretch limited budgets
  • Access to our clothing closet and pantry for essential everyday needs
  • Utility and resource assistance to help seniors stay safe and secure in their homes
  • Guidance with Medicare, Medicaid, and benefits enrollment to ensure access to care
  • Spiritual and social support that nurtures emotional and mental well-being
